2019 SALE SHOW SHOWJUMPING 19/20 OCTOBER 2019:

Conducted by Sale & District Agricultural Society and Sale Showjumping Club. The Showjumping program for the 2019 Sale Show will be held on Saturday/Sunday 19/20 October as a standalone event (No side shows or other activities)

Fees(except Novelty Event Ring and Interschool Rings on Friday, Hazel McMahon Fun Ring on Saturday -  see individual sections for entry fees for those rings)

FRIDAY & SATURDAY
Pre-entry:  $4 per section
Enter on the day Friday & Saturday:  $8.00 per section

SUNDAY
Pre-entry: $4 per section – no Gate fee
Entry on the day $8 per section plus one $10 Gate Fee.

All entrants must provide a completed HORSE SPORTS PARTICIPANT RISK ACKNOWLEDGMENT & WAIVER form (included in the online procedure).

Evidence of registration, club membership etc may be required on Show day. Please have all relevant paperwork with you.


HEIGHT:  Where height is stipulated, horses or ponies must be measured and an exhibit over or under the specified limit must be transferred to its correct class.  R.A.S. and/or E.F.A. certificates will be accepted as proof of height along with those issued at Maffra Show.

ALL COMPETITORS MUST WEAR APPROVED SAFTEY HELMETS & FOOTWEAR IN COMPLIANCE WITH CURRENT AUSTRALIAN, EUROPEAN OR AMERICAN STANDARDS.

NOVICE Rider, Horse or Pony: One which has never been placed first competing singly at any Agricultural and/or Pastoral Show.  Exhibitors must be prepared to sign a statutory declaration if called upon by the Chief Steward.  Novice horses and ponies competing as such and winning any event shall be deemed to be a novice for the duration of the show.

BREEDING YEAR dates from 1st August.

STALLIONS are not permitted in riding and hack classes.

JUDGING TIMES:  The Committee reserves the right to alter judging times of events.  Exhibitors are requested to note carefully any announcements made relative to program arrangements.

FALL OF RIDER:   If a rider comes off in a class they are not allowed to remount and continue.


Rules and Etiquette relating to Entrants in the Sale Show’s Arena Events

Sale and District Agricultural Society, as owner and manager of Sale Showground, Sale-Maffra Rd., Sale, considers the well-being of all persons visiting and/or using Sale Showgrounds to be of the utmost importance.

Compliance with the Rules and Etiquette guidelines below enables all Showgrounds users to contribute to the Society’s commitment to ensuring personal safety through risk management initiatives aimed at eliminating or reducing adverse behaviour, practices or procedures.

Failure by persons within the Sale Showground to endeavour to comply with the Rules and Etiquette guidelines will be considered a breach of Showground rules and may be sufficient grounds to be asked to vacate the Showground.

The general Rules and Regulations for the Showgrounds must also be observed.

Entering Showground and Parking:

Drive in slowly! When parking, leave room around the nearest float where horses may be tied.  

A designated fenced in parking area is provided for horse floats and trucks. No parking is permitted in the Tabaret Car Park.

All competitors parking on grounds must comply with parking attendants or entries may be cancelled.

Moving on the Showground: Our Showground rule is always move at a walk outside the arena.

Arena Entry: Don’t block the arena gate area.

Arena Etiquette: Keep within the designated warm-up area.  Exit arena immediately if asked to do so.

Tying up: Horses must not be tied to any Showground fencing whether of permanent or temporary construction. Tie only to your float.

Dogs: If you must bring a dog to our show, our rule is that dogs must be constrained on a lead at all times, but be prepared to have to lock your dog in your float. Never tie a dog to the outside of a vehicle or float. Note that all dogs which are not entered as Show exhibits/ competitors are not covered by Show Society Insurance, and are therefore the liability of the owner for any accident which may occur on the Society's Grounds.
DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE ARENA 

Prams: For safety reasons, PRAMS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE ARENA.

Camping : is permitted.  Due to Worksafe requirements, no power will be available for campers. Horses staying overnight must be confined within the security fenced area after 6.00 pm Friday. 

Temporary yards: are not allowed at the Sale Show.
